Sunday, February 10, 2013 – Day 12
My cousin and I went to the Salvador Dali exhibit in Kaohsiung. The only piece of art that I recognized was the melting clock but I must say, his artwork is pretty interesting. Not all, but some are eccentric, others are extremely sexual, and many are disturbingly beautiful. He was a crazy guy – with lots of money and confidence – who took risks and didn’t give a crap about what people thought of him. An inspiration he is.
I wasn’t allowed to take photos inside the exhibition (duh! right? I thought may be they’d let me hehehe). But just Google him and you’ll see a lot of his work.
Anyway, here are pictures from that day’s outing with my cousin. Enjoy 🙂
After visiting the Salvador Dali art exhibition, we went to watch Identity Thief at the movie theater. I’ve never seen such a crowded movie theater – it was like Disneyland-crowded. Movie was silly but funny, I enjoyed it but I’d rather have watched it at home. Not worth the money spent on movie tickets.
I feel like the past two weeks in Taiwan have been so “normal.” This is a peek of what my life would maybe be like if I lived here. I enjoy experiencing the everyday routine life in Kaohsiung. It’s nice even though I still miss home a lot.
PS: Sorry, backlog of blog posts… But I’ll catch up and come back to posts with more stories (or at least I’ll try!).
